December& January Newsletter
Our final dress rehearsal for the play is on Friday December 9th. 5:30 pizza will be served & practice will be begin at 6pm.EVERYONE in the play is expected to attend (speaking & non speaking parts).
Our Christmas Potluck Dinner & Church school play is Saturday December 10th @ 5pm. Church School play “Twas the Night Before” will begin at 6pm & the Confirmation Shadow play will follow. Both plays are sure to be very entertaining. :)
In order to give our teachers a chance to enjoy the holiday’s with their families & attend the services, we will not have class on December 25th & January 1st. Activity packets will be available during the service.
Our December Mission project for the Birmingham House will end on December 18th. If you would like to make a donation, please take a “Wish List” from the collection box located in the Fellowship Hall.
The January/February Mission project will be a Food Drive to restock the shelves of the local food bank after the holiday’s. The children can bring their donations to their classrooms during those months.
As we begin a New Year, I thought it might be nice if the children invited a friend to join us for Church school. This is a great way to show fellowship & to spread the word that we have a wonderful church family here at Great Hill.

Just a reminder that November 6th is Communion Sunday & the children will meet in the Fellowship Hall @ 10am for play practice & will later join their family for Communion.
Acolyte Meeting on November 6th following the service for anyone in 3rd grade & up. If you can’t make the meeting but would like to sign up, please see Laura Gabor for details.
As you know, we are currently working on our Christmas Play. We are asking that the children with speaking parts, please make every effort to attend the practices or let us know if you are unable to make it. We only have 6 weeks to get the play ready for our big night. To make it easier we will have practices during church school with the exception of our dress rehearsal).Mark your calendars- our play is scheduled for Saturday December 10th @ 5pm following the potluck dinner.
**Don’t forget... Our November Mission collection will be Christmas gifts for a needy family. I will hopefully have a "wish list" soon. The snow storm & power outages have caused a delay in organization of this mission project. Sorry. We will also be collecting into December for this project to give us extra time.
