CHURCH SCHOOl

The Church School team is very excited about beginning our new school year. We are looking forward to providing a wonderful and safe environment for your child(ren).

We resume classes on September 12^th at 10am.

This year our classes are being set up a little different, we are planning to offer a small group in the nursery area for 2, 3 & 4 yr. olds. This group will learn songs, bible stories & most of all have fun. Our other classes are set up as follows: K -2nd grade, 3^rd & 4^th grade & 5^th & 6^th grade. For those children who are not participating in the Confirmation group, you may join the 5 & 6^th grade group.

The Confirmation group will remain in church during the service. Pastor Jane will provide you with additional information.

The 1^st Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday unless otherwise stated. The children will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10am and join their families later for Communion.

Our Church School Mission project will be to raise funds for Spooner House. See enclosed info. for more details.

Future Dates/ Events:
September 5th is Homecoming Sunday - Come and reconnect with your Great Hill Family! Worship with Holy Communion is at 9 am followed by a light Brunch in the Fellowship Hall.
Come and register for Church School if you haven't yet and see our new
Church school room for our Sunday Youth class & Confirmation class.

October- date to be determined- Acolyte training & sign up. For those entering 3^rd grade & up are eligible to participate.

November December Remember

There’s more uncertainty in life than usual lately, but one thing remains certain: when a need arises, you can count on our church family to rise up and meet it.

The November, December, Remember! Campaign kicked off in late June, and in just a few weeks, we’ve received over $2500 to reduce the deficit. We have also received additional pledges, including some great ideas – like a percentage of a fundraiser- and promises of adding a few dollars to each week’s pledge.

There’s still time to make your pledge. A copy of the pledge form is available here, or just click here, on the heading or in the top menu and fill out the form online! If you’re in a position to help reduce the deficit by pledging one extra month’s worth of your church offerings, please know that it will help restore our church to financial stability and brighten its future. But if you are not able to give a full month’s pledge or donate any funds to this campaign, please check off the bottom choice so we will know you have responded to the call for support through your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service.

Please feel free to place your pledge form in the offering plate, drop it off in the church office or mail it in. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Pastor Jane or Faith Williams.

July & August Newsletter

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Just a reminder that we are offering a Summer Church School program for those Pre-K- 6th grade during the 9am service. Watch for your newsletter & registration forms in the mail during the month of August. We are looking forward to another wonderful year!

Coming Home Sunday is scheduled for September 6th @ 9am. Church School begins September 12th @ 10am.
